Chocolate ethics

Boxes overflow the storage room

I couldn't seem to find my exit

Pumpkin spice and lemon dish soap

I barely hold my urge to vomit

The bell rings, the world is calling

Shadows buying snacks and gummies

Having company makes time go slow

Just focus on breath, smile and pose

On the table, a chocolate bar sits

Milky flavoured, packaged in midnight blue

Waiting to be scanned and devoured

Treat as a reward or a happiness cure

Ray beams make the harmless flash

A baby coos on that chocolate delight

Sweetness dries those falling tears

While some dreams never come to light
