Oh it's Merdeka already?

How big of a laughing stock can we get?

Every move played makes people think: “Well. This is it. There couldn’t be anything worse than this.”

And then you’ll hear something that shocked your civic values untill you begin to question whether what you’ve learnt in pre-school is a hoax.

We have bigger issues to worry about like climate change, world peace, equal rights, stopping world hunger, abuse...

As much as this is alarming, we’re far from the notion that one day these could actually be the most worrisome problems on our plates. Far from it.

What’s depressing is that I applaud them for their confidence to take up space on the most influential and dangerous position in the country; I salute them for their bravery to battle battles with their own wits instead of emulating tried and tested methods from, like, literally everywhere else; I appreciate their gesture to be funny and put on a carefree attitude amongst the wrath and deaths of our fellow men.

No one should stand behind anything less than a bulletproof armor, and if there isn’t one then we’ll build one ourselves.

Clearly, I’m clueless in this. What I do know (in my tiny little brain) is that money controls power; there are tons of loopholes stemming from shock value, cultural ideology and technology; and that Malaysia is a blessed land full of talented people who will stop at nothing to put food on a stranger’s table.

And if nothing works, then I guess we’ll take the cynical approach and let things come of age, and let the aged die out.
