Self-isolation

I’m afraid to say this, but self-isolation is a blessing in disguise for me. Mainly because I’m more comfortable being alone and spoiling my fluffy friends with cuddles and hugs. (Childish, I know) There are more important things that needs urgent attention, but what university had taught me is that I am more productive when it comes to deadlines. So, let’s get down to wasting time alone.

Many of you have never gone through that, even now, because you have your friends and family to keep yourself entertained. You’re just physically quarantined and being dramatically frustrated because you can’t go out.

Self-isolation is being alone with yourself, with no one to talk to but yourself, and with your thoughts to keep you company. At times, people might go insane without human contact for too long, because we are social animals that feed on communication to survive.

You see, this is proven by science, but science is closure for people who can’t see beyond lab tests and microscopes. It all comes down to you.

Do you need to depend on others to survive?

Will you go insane if you can’t talk to another human being in person for months?

It all comes down to you. If you want to be stronger, you have to fight alone.

To all of the fighters who are unwillingly going through self-isolation, I wish that you can come out stronger and wiser than ever. Don’t let your thoughts trick you to surrender, instead, focus on the extra time given to you, to make the best version of yourself.
